Calleri was born on January 17, 1975, in São Paulo, Brazil. He started his professional career with São Paulo F.C., where he made his debut in 1994. In 2001, he joined Inter Milan, where he played for two seasons before returning to São Paulo in 2003.
During his time at São Paulo,Campeonato Brasileiro Action Calleri was known for his defensive skills and leadership qualities. He won several titles with the club, including three Campeonato Brasileiro and one Copa Libertadores.
In addition to his playing career, Calleri also had a successful managerial career. He served as the head coach of São Paulo from 2008 to 2012 and then coached the national team from 2014 to 2017.
Unfortunately, Calleri's life was cut short when he died suddenly on May 14, 2018. He was found dead in his home in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and the cause of death is still unknown.
